@stwik go back inside, find the local planner/dispatcher and ask her ever so nicely to let you use one of her 4 axle 880's. She'll probably look at you like you just came from the place next door that grows the green stuff that's legal in WA but not the US. But you never know, she might let you run one for a day (they're 18 speed).

Why is it that we buy trucks with aero skirts and then simply cut them to fit our saddle box and APU?

...brand new truck and it already looks like we’ve hacked it to pieces...

 

That "rope" actually has a very strong steel cable inside it. In other words, his saw can slip and hit the rope, he's not going to fall but he'll need new underwear.
