Passed around 8 tracks and then cassettes! First time I heard Metallica was on a "bootleg" cassette.

Them dudes are something else! I did a little tree work when I was an operator. Those guys use to ride the hook up have you set them in the tree and then tie you on and cut and lower. Only problem I ever had with it was you never knew what you were getting until you got it!! And trying to communicate with a Spanish guy that nodded his head yes no matter what you said was futile!

 

Remember setting in front of the radio on Saturday morning with your cassette recorder waiting on Kasey Kasom (sp?) to play a certain song then trying to record it without someone sticking their head in the door right in the middle of the song asking what your doing or the #### phone ringing. Had to wait till next week to try again and hope it was still on the top 40.

 

Ain't gonna lie......the thought of moose having access to the bomb button makes me nervous...

 

Lol!! That's funny!! I do! It would take you 3 weeks to get a clean recording!

 

Those guys are either crazy or have balls the size of watermelons. Not sure, but I watched them clear a bunch of trees up at the casino and they were amazing to watch, especially when they started chunking it down and as the pieces toppled off the tree would whip back and forth and they'd just keep working like it was nothing.

 

That's good news Bob, I'm sure you'll get billed for the scare though.

 

Growing up we used to hang the mic in front of the TV speaker and record movies and such. We never had a TV for years and would borrow a old one from my grandparents every so often. It was so wore out you had to have the room pitch black to see it.

Still probably a old recording of MA and PA Kettle around here someplace....
