When it comes to trucks, the T800H with the big steer tires on it looks best IMO.

So I'm hanging around the office trying to finish end of year paperwork etc. and I get a phone call from a fella that asks if I can haul him some gravel. Yea, sure I guess, what do you want, how much do you want, and where does it go?

He tells me that he rented a skid steer, paid this other dude in advance for gravel, and the guy hasn't shown up and won't answer the phone. Evidently this other guy was going to haul it in a trailer behind his pickup.

So I tell him to give me an hour or so and I should be there. I haven't started the dump truck since mid-December, and it is not plugged in, and I didn't program the Webasto to pre heat, but it's pretty warm here (20s) and the truck should start. Go out, check the vitals, turn on the master switch, and she fires right up! Great says I to myself, and I went to get some paperwork while she was warming up. Come back out, check the lights and tires etc., and jump in to take off......no air...always when you are in a hurry. As it turned out there is a dip in the main air line coming from the compressor right before it gets to the air drier. and that dip was frozen solid with water. No problem, got her thawed out and all went well, but I am curious how that could collect that much water between the compressor and the drier, before it gets to the wet tank.

Oh well, next time I'll know right where to look, and I may try to re-route the air line such that there is no belly in it right before the drier. Live and learn.

You don’t see many, but the is a T900. I think that’s the model. It’s a T8 with a set forward axle, it’s sharp imo
