Millis OTR journal

My dad just blew my mind today. I'll never grasp how it's possible that he's driven for 11 years, I've been driving for two and a half years, and I know so much more than him. It's embarrassing. He was in Grand Forks ND last night. I don't know what the actual temperature was, but he said the wind chill was -47. He decided it was a good idea to use his APU last night for heat instead of idling his engine. So of course the obvious happened. He started down the road and lost power after about 25 miles. And then his truck just shut off. Kenworth told him that he may have damaged his after treatment system as a result. So he paid $750 to get it towed to a dealership to have them thaw the tanks, replace the filters which are most likely ruined, and possibly have to repair his after treatment system. Oh, and he's got a load in his trailer which will now obviously be late. How is it even possible for someone with that much time in the industry to not know to keep his truck running? Good lord man. When I started driving I was assuming I'd pick up a lot of knowledge from him. That went out the window a long time ago. Unbelievable.

 

Well, this has been fun. In three days, all of my posts for the last 2.5 years about Millis and promoting them has been torn down. Hope y'all are doing well. If you have my number, use it. Thanks @StyxxNC for destroying the last 2.5 years on this site. Have a nice life. Thanks @MACK E-6 for censoring me over the years and still letting this guy run his mouth. What the hell man?
