Not always true depends on lanes I don't run more than 250-300 miles from the house my rates are well over $3 I'm generating plenty of revenue. Hauling freight for $1.60 is like the poverty line. I'll keep my 18-2000 miles at $3-4kenn2632, Brettj3876 and sirjeff Thank this.

So are you running your butt off for peanuts just to stay afloat before the ship capsizes?
This is IMO why its absolutely necessary to start out with plenty of cash and then make sure you have a stockpile of it so when times are lean you aren't running around chasing pennies. -
I'm 3 yrs in under my own numbers , I'm still gonna run . By all means yall please stay home , had a good year and money is in the bank . Started out with more money than most and still had income from a previous business coming in so I'm not hurting but I'm not sitting on the sidelines either. Stay safe & Warm
