Thanks for the response. Can I test these by checking for current across the posts while working the brakes? Or can I mess up something in the computer doing that? Pretty sure my clutch switch is ok, my engine brake works.

A quick test is to try it with it unplugged, and then try again with a paper clip shorting the plug. I think the ecm is only looking for continuity. Not sure if you will detect any voltage there. Might be just grounds the ecm is using.

Got mine working, thanks for the help. Turned out to be a ground connection behind the kick panel in the driver foot well. Two small wires, labeled axle 2, and rpm 2, grounded to the firewall with a self tapping screw.

A guy can go nuts trying to figure this stuff out.

I got the same truck and same problem. I have the replacement switch. Question is how the hell do I take out the bad switch? I'm guessing it's similar to the quick connect extenders for the shifter airlines. Mine is stuck in there pretty good. So just more force? I don't wanna break it and end up with no brake lights...

EDIT: I got it out! Used a small Jimmy bar nail puller to hold down the quick connect ring and jimmy the switch out a little bit, then simply pulled it out by hand. Brake lights now activate and hold at about 6 PSI, vs about 20 PSI before.

I have a 2014 ProStar with a N13 and a 13 speed. I have to really mash down the brake pedal to get the brake lights to come on, get the cruise to shut off, or get my jakes to come on. Could this be just the brake pressure switch?

If your foundation brakes work normally, but just the brake light needs extra pressure, it is most likely a bad pressure switch.

Hi I have a 2007 9400 international I'm having a similar problem but it's with the cruise control I can idle the engine up while parked but I cannot disengage the PTO idle with the brake....
Nor can I set the cruise control I've already replaced every air switch the yellow and red under kick panel and outside the hood...

Could cruise control possible be turned off in the ECM I also can't override the engine fan even though I have a switch I was just wondering....

Any help would be greatly appreciated

PTO cancel with brake is a parameter you change. Fan overide could also be just a parameter not set or could be wiring, so your first step is to check for programming.
