Getting into driving in the Midwest and need to get some chains. Out here at the Iowa 80 and they seem kind of pricey anybody know a cheaper place to get them or if these are reasonably priced (they said they're around 110 to 130 bucks)?

Buy quality ones so if you need to use them you at least have the right tools for the job. Not like they go bad. Keep forever hopefully never use.

Sometimes OEM dealers will have them way cheaper than truck stops.

What about the socks. I've never had the pleasure, the only thing I ever had to chain was a 2018 rogue and I only did that because they wouldn't let me in the park without them. Anyway the socks look easy enough to install.

Iowa80.com sells socks for $199.99, they probably sell chains also.

I paid $100 for 4 pairs of chains...and a few years later bought another pair for $20. That's enough to cover 10 tires and only $120 total out-of-pocket.

If you don't need them NOW, look around. The first 4 pair I bought from a company driver who used to be an O/O and had them sitting in his shed...4 brand new chains in the bags, 4 used chains. The last pair, I actually found at an antique store...still new and in the bag.

If you DO need them now, you'll pay a lot more.
