That’s tonight, obviously. Curious what tomorrow’s going to be or if I’m even working. Haven’t gotten a dispatch for it all day.

Hell yeah lol. I’m enjoying it and having a lot of fun working out here. Yeah it sucks, but it’s still better than working in it on a rig lol.
Had my first negative encounter with an icy hill yesterday on some raggedy lease road in Killdeer. Driver in front of me forget to lock their axles, started sliding back almost went off the road but got it under control. Had to sit and wait on a tractor to pull us both up, I didn’t even get a shot at it
Learned how to throw tire chains too. 2 doubles and a single. Life is good life is good.
Got work this weekend, pipe and rig moves. Funny, I left a rig job cause hours were going downhill, came here, now I’m almost getting more than I want.. almost. Kinda sad winter will be over soon, it’s been a good learning experience for me up here.
Think I’m gonna go in a few hours Sunday too. Get my tire chains straightened out and set back up, clean and lube binders, basically do some refitting and maintenance stuff. See if I can annoy some winch truck drivers into letting me play on their trucks.Last edited: Feb 1, 2019

Work was canceled. 0 zero visibility where we’re going and delivering. Pic while in the pick up

Today is a good day. Hauling an oversize loader out to a location. Fun fun fun. I’m more or less riding along. Helping with loading/unloading and securing.

Alright, so, anyone reading this who wants to work in areas that have brutal winters here we go.
Left house around 4:30 got to work around 5:30 to be like 7 miles down the road at 6:30.
Got here, clocked in, start to work I went, no bs or coffee talk, straight to it. We cranked trucks yesterday and let them run all night due to the fact it’s -38 without wind chill.
So, trucks already running, this is good, means it’s nice and warm.
I have a habit burned into my head of setting only the tractor brake, leaving the trailer released or “pushed in”. I get here this morning, it’s popped out and I’m hearing air.
Long story short, it’s sorted and we’re on our way. Had to get dragged out of my spot and have the trailer pulled off me.cke, Feedman and PoleCrusher Thank this. -
It's warmer here. Northeast Colorado
-6. Think with the sun it will feel warmer. -
Probably not gonna warm up much I don’t think. Ah least here.
cke Thanks this.
