I had a instructor at Northwestern that rode every day except if heavy Ice. Snow and all. Had a 11 year old Honda civic for a car with like 12,000 miles if that tells you anything. I used to ride in the mid 30° and no salt on the road. Gave that up, and more of a fare weather guy nowadays

@Slowpoke KW pretty well covered it. When I get uncomfortable with road, visibility or other drivers inability then I park it. Fog is the thing I hate the most and will stop much sooner than icy conditions.

That's way too clumsy on a bike. You kids nowadays. Wanting 3 wheelers then keep thinking more is better. Just go get a car. Are you nuts ?

And I should add, on permitted loads, I stop when the permit says it's too bad (or sooner)

Old picture time. About 2009 sunrise. 97 Pete 500 N14 and 30 ton slider. One of the best Tow trucks I ever drove. Not much for recovery but it was a 100 mph plus truck.

Was not on time this time. Hauling the brass rings around the bottom of a military shell. Not sure caliber but about 4inch diameter. They wanted everyone accounted for. Sung "one piece at a time the whole job. IMG00094-20110413-1748.jpg IMG00093-20110413-1747.jpg
