You're doing the right thing telling the truth because believe me they will find out.Companies check driver's records thru out their employment with them just not upon getting hired. It may take awhile but that incident will show up on your record. But why even worry about it,you said they lady admitted it was her fault. Some things in this industry cannot be helped. But from now on use both mirrors when backing and driving. Its common for new drivers to use one mirror more then they other but get out of that habit and use ALL mirrors.Believe it or not those mirrors aren't there for decoration..
If no police report filed in fender-bender, is it still an incident on my license?

We don't use the DAC reporting system at our company but our insurance company does some investigatingto screen guys who put in applications to drive. Many a candidates come in with a "clean history" on their job app, but when we send their info to insurance just for a double check, the alarms and sirens go on. Somehow they have a system that can tell us everything and anything associated with a drivers license number and/or Social Security number, then its up to us to figure out if its worth hiring the guy.
tczap1 Thanks this. -
Thanks Riprap, appreciate the info. Looks like I'm stuck where I'm at for now. Sadly, even though she backed in behind me as i was rolling, it seems the truck driver is at fault anyway.

hello I am kind of on the same situation no police report and just a small scratch
but on my situation my truck rolled back few inches (I drive automatic with a hill assistant) and there was a car extremely close and he claim that I hit him
I am really new on trucking
did you finally get over the issue? -

It would be more what your company, and any insurance claim might call it.
Doesn't matter anyway. Aside from how it makes you feel, a wreck is a wreck. Doesn't matter what one's feel good terminology is. -

What scratch?
I don't mean like there isn't one but if you hit an car more of a chance it is more than a scratch. -
it was a scratch literally 1inche long I know it sounds crazy but that's the true
-
Well give you an idea what it costs to fix a new car scratch, I had one about 1 1/2 inches long on my hood , they had to prep the scratch, fill it and repaint the area of about a square foot because it had to be blended, the materials was not a lot, but labor was a lot. It was a $1100 repair and that was with my discounts.
