Thanks for the clarification JCTwife.

From an outsiders point of view it sounds like everyone has their own ways of running a successful lease from JCT. Running non-stop w/o any home time is something few can do. Unless the company says otherwise, it is ok for the employees to do so.
Good companies understand the need for home time after x amount of months and usually look at how productive they are. They do not look at the negative stuff in a lease. All they care about is making money.
KHronnieb67 Thanks this. -
I can't tell you how disappointed I am when I waste my time reading pointless posts about how long someone thinks people should stay out. I know my post is somewhat pointless too, and I apologize, but after reading this for the last several days, I feel entitled to second the others. To my understanding, any post made on this and other threads is intended for everyone to read and respond to, so long as the discussion remains civil, free of personal insults.
Nevertheless, I am subscribed to this thread because LMB was gracious enough to chronicle his experiences as a new hire at JCT, and I only remain subscribed to hear his updates from time to time and communicate with others who are interested in the company. I do believe that to be the reason he started this thread. I also believe he's been in the industry long enough to make good decisions.
Thanks, LMB, for all the useful info you've provided, and I hope you continue to do so.

How does JCT do payroll taxes? Do you get a W-2 at the end of the year, or are you classified a contractor and get a 1099 and have to do the quarterly taxes?

I sincerely appologize to JCT wife for any diparaging remarks I made to hurt her feelings, and to anyone else i offended here. Thanks for a GREAT read......... I have been following this thread, and found it most informative......
This is the sort of personal experience I need to better make a decision on a Trucking/Transportation Company to go with.
....................... Edited to add the following........................
I have enjoyed following your thread, and I look forward to keeping up with your posts.
If your are considering NOT POSTING, I would beg you to reconsider.... Please keep up with some sort of continuing information about your experience, and don't let the "Nasty Or Jealous " get you down.Last edited: Mar 20, 2009
