Never had that issue. I'm talking bout the hydraulics of one box not being enough to turn the wheel while loaded at a standstill.

@johndeere4020 No matter what axle or set up you get. Go over and adj. and check steering stops. Normally you can get more out of it than factory will adj for. Plus I have seen so many brand new trucks not adj properly and they turn tight one way and not the other. International PDI service at dealer you had to count steering wheel rotations and make it equal each direction. Brand new and doing this because the factory is just close enough!

Yes, Same. The worst I drove however was a 06 western star, 2 20k steers 9 foot spread. Had 3 boxes. Needed 4. Had her in some tight spots, or off road and had to rev the heck out of it to turn it. But It was 40k on steers not loaded.Feedman, 1951 ford, PoleCrusher and 5 others Thank this.

The problem child was a pool spec. wrecker chassie. T800 20k axle with a single on 425's You had to move to turn. But loaded, which lightened the front and she became a dart with no direction. Added second box and it calmed it down. They didnt keep that one long.

Not that my opinion matters much...but that top bike is the one!!! As long as it has the open primary and jockey shift that would be my dream bike for hot rodding around town!! Man that thing is cool!!

Home at last.
@TripleSix and @jamespmack not sure which one of you asked but I went back through all the pictures I have stored on my passport drive and can not find one of a chopper loaded up for a road trip. Mind you, these were not my bikes, I was just fortunate enough to have a job where I got to ride their bikes. Personally as far as road bikes go I've only owned two, an '07 Road Glide and the orange custom I've posted a few pictures of that started life as an '09 Heritage Softtail. The rest of the bikes I've owned have been organ doner bikes, a CBR900RR, GSXR750, R1 etc. The only one I regret getting rid of was the Gixxer, it was a 600 size bike that would eat liter class bikes for lunch. However after an "incident" I had right before I moved from Washington, I sold the last bike, used the money to buy a car and will likely never be on 2 wheels again.blairandgretchen, Feedman, 1951 ford and 12 others Thank this.
