Seems like I remember Chaz Murray leaving and going to Cozad a number of years ago, not that it would be related to this sale.

Virtually nothing we haul is worth less than $1M.
    And most is worth several.
It's all relative, so its easy to figure...MORE
You can lose your donkey in a heartbeat if you don't know what you're doing in this segment of the industry.
I know guys that work with >$1M trailers every day.
It's hundreds of dollars per line per hour.

SAR, stwik, LoneCowboy and 1 other person Thank this.

Re: Price, at the when I was looking at the Murray trailers, I was looking at the Loadmaster. I figured based on the load carrying capacity, it was what I wanted. Price then was $250,000 dollars. That doesn't include any changes like longer deck, custom paint, misc. I've since moved away from the east coast trailers. I later on wanted something that would allow me to move anywhere and not be bound by the 16 tire restriction that other states don't recognize. Murray/Cozad make a great product. The trailers they mfg. allow for more load weight with less trailer weight but, at a price. (Your Pocket Book) Something mentioned was how to justify paying for the trailer. I agree. Especially since some folks in California want to change you by the hour vs by the mile. By the hour IMO is stupid. The rates don't justify the industry rates. (at least when I was doing my research some years ago)

By the mile is stupid for big loads. By the hour is a much better way to bill.

Because most of your larger expenses are time related, and not mile related, why is it stupid to charge by the hour?

Heavy Hammer, SAR, beastr123 and 4 others Thank this.

Yeah I wouldnt even consider by mile you'd have to have so many qualifications and fee's in a quote it'd be ridiculous.

    $78.22/mile

    Humblepie and Troy_ Thank this.
