Not used to this. Got back to the yard on Sunday, expecting to head out Monday, no go. Now...I'm supposedly going out today and, heading to bd land. Have 2 drops in North Carolina. I'm not going to know how to handle myself, not going to New England!!!!!

Well, made it home and it took 36 hours for someone to wave enough money at me to get me up off the couch and back in the truck. I watch the load boards to sort of keep my finger on the pulse of various lanes and not suprisingly for flatbed at this time of year, rates seem down pretty much nationwide. For me, though, I can't complain at all. More and more the work is finding me and the rates offered have been very good. I'm pulling long loads in the high 2s and low 3s and when I stay in close and run steel the truck grosses 13-1700 per day on 75 gallons a day. Been training up a guy who seems to be an absolute natural on deck and next week we're getting him into a school so they can teach him to drive...let him wreck their clutch and transmission...lol.

    More later...

Nice — there must be something illegal about it — if not, there should be — according to AOC.

Well, there's the graph, pick it apart. All legal. The pic was taken off my personal GPS I use for tracking milage for IFTA, fuel economy and a few other odds and ends. Oddly, my log shows I actually drove 741. First time I've ever had a discrepancy between the two more than a couple tenths of a mile.

The OAC was a reference to the young lady from NYC that wants to put you, me and every other poor boy trying to make a living out of business. No offense intended.

Only 741 miles? C'mon, man. A real super trucker does at least 800 miles a day! ;-)
