Most boring Super Bowl ever. The driver from Alabama in the drivers' lounge in Trenton watching the game with us was way more entertaining.

I thought that game was great personally. Killer display of defense by both teams.
-
I guess that's one way to look at it. I prefer them when it stays close but both teams get to score. If I want to watch nearly scoreless games, that's why there's soccer and hockey.

I'm starting to understand why when I took my truck into a terminal and had to sit for longer than necessary. My next truck will be a KW, but it will have a Cummins. No question. These engines are as temperamental as my ex wife. Paccar sucks.
-
Trick learned directly from a KW mechanic. When changing fuel filters, do one at a time. Never do both at once. Change one, doesn't matter which. Prime it without bleeding, start the engine. Done. Let it run for 5 minutes, shut it down. Change the other filter, rinse and repeat. Done. God this engine is a temperamental pain in my butt. This process works. Now I know. Debug your tanks with Bio Kleen once a quarter and your filters will last the entirety of your PM period. Use Deisel Treat on every fillup. All problems solved. Diesel Treat is the bomb. Can't believe I ever ran without it. My truck runs like a raped ape ever since it became a regular routine two months ago. Best tip I ever got. If you're O/O, look into it.
StyxxNC Thanks this. -
I would like to own my own truck one day, but it would make me nervous. I drive a 2018 W9 and it was at the dealership I think 5 times to try to fix the same problem, meaning it was off the road for a total of 10 days and 3 of those days all in one week. They finally figured it out, it was a wiring harness problem, but they had to do 14 other things til they figured it out due to it being under warranty.
Being without your money maker for a week or longer could be a bad deal. Especially when just starting out.
Props to you SJ and all you O/O’s out there that can handle the pressures of this job plus dealing with everything else that comes with owning your truck.dwells40 and Steelersjunkie Thank this. -
This may sound like recycled rhetoric, but here we go. I don't trust a dealership mechanic unless I can see them the the crosshairs of my rifle. What you experienced never happens. I have two guys I call now for everything. Both are KW mechanics, and both hate the fact that their hands are tied because of shop procedure. I go to them on their days off with a case of beer for their consideration and cash for their time. It's funny how many problems go away when you do things that way.dwells40 Thanks this.

Glad to hear you don’t have to deal with that.Steelersjunkie Thanks this.

Money circumvents everything. I pay less and get a straight answer. They make more and don't have to put up with company BS. Win win.dwells40 Thanks this.

This is a "duh" statement at this point. My posts are gonna stray from Mills from time to time because people are contacting me about O/O stuff. Know this, and remember it. Used trucks are fine to start with. Mine was used. Investigate your options at the time of purchase. I am fortunate I did that. Today's repair woulda hurt like hell if not for my original setup. I had an extended warranty on my truck that was already paid for, I just had to pay for a transfer fee. I had a bad wire harness to my tail lights, not covered. I had a shop fee for hooking up their laptop and downloading the codes. Not covered. I had 6 hours of shop time at $135/hour plus fixing part of my after treatment system. Covered. Total bill was over $3k. I paid $115. Yup, this beer tastes great lol.
