There has been 100's of comments on here. Help had been posted. There is always the same story. New person posts I have read all the bad about them,,, but... Others on here give them good advise. What do they do? Well, it will be different for me..... They go there and then come back... I should have listened....You might think I am being harsh, but it is just a cycle. You post; people don't listen they think it will be different for them. It is always the same few stories, but always starts with I have read all the bad about them,,, but...
Anytime you read almost nothing, but bad about a company it ought to be a warning. Sure drivers will complain, but there is a pattern on here about this company. The poster always says no one else will hire me, or this is the fastest or best way for me to get in trucking. Then the post will say why is everyone always bashing them???? Then said person will do what they want to do anyway because they will only hear what they want to hear.![]()

umm I believe it's 6 months to be a trainer. but if u come to Cr England with experience u could be a trainer after taking the train the trainer course.
-
yes it is 6 months for teir 1 training and a certain score on a test for teir 2 training. jls

If you come to C R England as an exp. driver you have to run solo for 30 days b4 you can go to trainer class. I think they only require 6 months exp. for trainers is because if they made it a year or more they would hardly have n e trainers as most people leave within 6 months or could be stupid like me and spend 2 years there.AfterShock Thanks this. -
As for myself, I live in Maine or at least the house I'm loosing is in Maine. There are few companies that you can get OTR experience from living there. I have considered moving, but with the current economy I don't have that choice. With my latest round of applications, CRE is my only viable alternative.
I worked for Stevens Transport for around six months, but I didn't go to a Crete approved school and therefore need another year of experience. The only reason I left Stevens had nothing to do with their practices, but they too have a horrid reputation ... at least with the company bashers that frequent boards like this one. I had no problem with them.
I will be going back to OTR driving next month, and yes I have enough experience to know that a lease is a bad idea, but I can't be a safe driver and team with a stranger. I'd never get any sleep.
I am married, but after a foreclosure (the reason I had to leave Stevens ... really long story) we're living with family, and with no pressing bills to speak of I am going to lease.
Now, settle down. I know what you're going to say ... I'm and idiot ... Right?
See, the thing is, I might make a pittance but I will be solo. My family has been in trucking since the 50's and I know how to run hard and keep it legal. The trick is to RUN. Sitting is a truck stop, or ogling strippers, or feeding quarters to a video game will get you exactly what you think it will with a lease ... negative settlements.
Working a lease is just that work. And yes, I understand that there is very little in it for me in the long run. That's why there isn't going to be a "long run" with a CRE lease for me ... just long enough to complete the lease and get the experience I need to successfully apply to Crete or some other good company. I am planning on Crete though after England.
It's a sacrifice, but at the moment I have nothing to loose. My wife is behind me ... the most important thing ... and I can suffer through even if I only ever make enough to eat and take a shower.
So, go ahead ... rip me apart if you feel the need.
I'll keep everyone updated here as I can, first hand. And I won't spare the details or the truth.AfterShock Thanks this. -
Cool, keep us posted. And Good Luck !!!!

Just wondering..... -
The issue is getting a company to hire you when your living in Northern Maine (aka Southern Occupied Canada). Until I have the ability to get out of there I'm majorly stuck. So, I suppose it all in how you look at things.
