    yeah, I'd say goin too fast and followin too close. The headline is a little misleading, looks like he was just trying to avoid rear ending the truck in front of him. Not sure if he could have even seen the guy walking up the shoulder.
    Had to have been distracted cuz whoever is filming is even closer to where that guy is coming from, driver didn't see ANYTHING to make him think, "back it down"?!?!

    I was wondering the same thing!! Couldn't have fallen off my truck, I used to only go down to exit 90...

    Judging from the video distracted and going to fast. At least nobody was hurt. The way traffic looked there was no reason for him to do all that if he was paying attention and going a safe speed.

    Naturally, the excuse from the truck driver will be: “My brakes failed!”

    Yeah. Right. Let’s have a look at your cellular usage history, shall we? But he was likely over the legal limit, perhaps in the 85k range [knowing aggregate haulers like I do] and that additional 5k pounds makes a big difference on stopping distance on a 5 axle rig, from speeds above 50 mph
