Somebody was distracted !!
Flat Earth Trucker, stwik and lovesthedrive Thank this. -
Nice goin', yutz. Them rock haulers,, where'd the 4x4 board come from? Another rig that will never ride right again.
Bud A., lovesthedrive, mjd4277 and 2 others Thank this. -
yeah, I'd say goin too fast and followin too close. The headline is a little misleading, looks like he was just trying to avoid rear ending the truck in front of him. Not sure if he could have even seen the guy walking up the shoulder.
Had to have been distracted cuz whoever is filming is even closer to where that guy is coming from, driver didn't see ANYTHING to make him think, "back it down"?!?!Woodys, Bud A., lovesthedrive and 1 other person Thank this. -

Just your typical steering wheel holder...

I was wondering the same thing!! Couldn't have fallen off my truck, I used to only go down to exit 90...Bud A., mjd4277, Lepton1 and 1 other person Thank this.

it was planted in the ground, he hits it with his right side drives.
it had some sort of Yellow diamond sign mounted on top
slo-mo the video. -
Judging from the video distracted and going to fast. At least nobody was hurt. The way traffic looked there was no reason for him to do all that if he was paying attention and going a safe speed.
lovesthedrive Thanks this. -
Naturally, the excuse from the truck driver will be: “My brakes failed!”
Yeah. Right. Let’s have a look at your cellular usage history, shall we? But he was likely over the legal limit, perhaps in the 85k range [knowing aggregate haulers like I do] and that additional 5k pounds makes a big difference on stopping distance on a 5 axle rig, from speeds above 50 mph
