When I started trucking in 1987 I was leased to Machinery Hauling out of Kenova, WV. Pop as we called him had them on every hood he owned lol. I started with a bare bones K100 hitched to a 42’ spread on springs / walking beams and a sidekit. No need for bumper guides

Do they like technology, or are they another mindless idiot driving a white Volvo? You be the judge.Al. Roper, cke, Slowpoke KW and 18 others Thank this. -
That's why I mentioned my "favorite" neck block, it's notched so that it sits down in my rails a little then blocked on top between the rails on the neck. Won't completely prevent the neck sliding/swinging off to the side but makes it less likely to happen.
He'll have it happen sooner or later and get a quick education on making sure he's level right to left, especially when things are wet and slippery. Fortunately as long as the king pin is locked I haven't found a situation I couldn't fix on my own with enough blocks, chains, straps and ratchets.Al. Roper, cke, Slowpoke KW and 17 others Thank this. -
I think of @Heavy Hammer with his 56 ft in the well. You really have to plan your turns and know your truck in order to avoid screwing up with that trailer.Al. Roper, cke, Slowpoke KW and 16 others Thank this.
