Look around for a company that does not team drive. Thee are several companies that run the truck as a solo so you can learn alot more that way. Also, you will not be a zombie. I could not get any sleep when I had to team train. The only time you get sleep is when you are loading / unloading or waiting for a load.
How brutal is the 4-6 week training period?

I did 3 weeks. Back to base and a nice hotel every night. Screw going teams for two months what a joke.

That's how I started out the guy who helped me get my coffers license took all of 18 hrs ta get I teamed with him in a white road commander 180 wb cab over, kenworth had just come out with the conventional truck. Life was a beach back then.

That wasn't the worst truck I have ever driven try a old western star with a 5 n 4 transmission 20 gears 2 shifters 1 main 5 gears 1 axluray 4 gears and a 30 steering wheel so your knees could steer while you shifted with both hands.
