Far from a @stwik tarp job but it's the best their going to get in a 33° motherf#####g thunderstorm and pouring f#####g rain! I'm pissed because I've sat here since yesterday only to find out that the crate I was "waiting on" was the motherf#####r sitting right next to my trailer the past 26 f#####g hours then they finally loaded it as the heavens opened up!
Rant NOT over but I'm going to take it to an internal rant in my head for the next 26 hours while I dry out and body parts unshrivle. -
I’m willing to bet it’s over 45k...
@jamespmack
This is close to by the book Melton securement for a “heavy” single coil.
I count 11 chains (might be 12, hard to tell how many he has pulling rearwards on the trailer) and two straps over the top. -
If you weren’t cursing your head off with every strap you tossed over the top you weren’t mad enough...

Well, that makes for a rough day. But at least your tarp job looks better that any I've ever done.

All this binder talk, I have to ask... Am I crazy for considering speedbinders off the bat?
Buy Now — Speedbinders
Never did flatbed before, but I use snaps and ratchet binders on the farm and for securing on my personal trailer and prefer the ratchet binders 90% of the time. Just seems like they'd save some time and not have to deal with an end trying to wrap chain, which is my biggest gripe about ratchets? -
That's almost 160,000 # of securement, I doubt it's that heavy.
