darn. you just busted the bubbles of the engine brakers/all the gear grabbers thru the truck stop. they are trying to impress you and you aren't impressed.
i've always associated the gear jammers and the engine brakers thru the truck stop as a "driver",used very loosely, with around 3 months experience. just got out of some school and are really cool-

Easy fix take to a welding shop cut muffler open torch the guts out of muffler weld back up now your looking legal and still have straight pipe sound.

I have a 2016 t680 with the pacar MX-13 in her...is there a way to make my exhaust louder? Can I remove my muffler and put in a resonator?
-
You can do all that but unfortuntley you need to do a full emissions delete. Truck will need to be tuned. Many people do it but if you get caught by a dot cop with a sharp eye, you will be facing a hefty fine and the shop that did the deletes can see a maximum of 10k fine.
Peronallly, I would do it if I owned an emissions truck and have several friends that have done it. I prefer to just keep fixing up my old non emissions truck and do whatever I want. -
I wonder what a sufficiently beefy set of glasspacks would do to a big rig exhaust, if you could size one large enough for the job.
tommymonza Thanks this. -
Would just make it raspy like an old ford farm pickup truck. You need hollowed out large diameter pumpkin chuckers
-
What the heck are pumpkin chuckers?
-
Usually stacks big enough to throw a pumpkin in and then launch it off with a blip of the throttle

I run 5 inch straights for awile they get very old buy the end of the day
