Rice hill or. At the flying j
Did a local this morning. Picked up at the Troutdale terminal and delivered it to Portland.
Suppose to be a drop, ended up a live unload. Took only an hour.
Then picked up a load again in Portland and took it to Toledo or.
Picked up a load there and taking it to Modesto ca for a 4 am live unload on the 6th
A little bit of everything today. Rain, hail, and snow. No wind thankfully.
Good Night From II

Any of you owners here having problems logging in on the Swift Owners login portal? I'm getting a message that I'm "not authorized" to access the website. My DM is stumped and can't seem to get an answer from anyone how to fix it.

Modesto ca.
Left rice hill this morning to crappy weather. Snow and wet roads. Slushy in some places. Drove 30 to 45 mph the whole 148 miles.
Once I got into Calif weather got better.
Got a speeding tix going thru Redding.
He said he clocked me at 64. Must of been going down hill.since I wasn't on cruise control. Going at least 62 trying to pass some trucks.
Proves my point... if I go over 60 I get a speeding tix lol.
When I got going.. I noticed he didn't hand me my license back... So tried getting his attn by flashing lights but I guess he doesn't check his mirrors. Got too far away.
So pulled back over and called 911 to get a cup to my location. While talking to her I flagged one down as he passed me.
Told him what happened and both called him.
Lady said he put it inside my permit book
So me and the other officer went thru it and couldn't find it. He got hold of him on his phone and told him where it was I guess cause he grabbed my permit book and closed it. It was in the pocket on the outside of the book lol. Lucky it didn't fall out and fly away when I took it out of the truck.
Anyways.. Got going and now I had to drive straight to final to do my 10 since I had to be stopped b4 6pm. Had a 4am appt. Tomorrow.
With the traffic thru Sacramento got here about 630 pm. Thinking I might have to do an 8 hr sleeper and run it in off duty in the morning. I parked right outside the gate.
So I walked into the shipper office to see if I was at right place. He said yep.
Then I said see you at 4am. He said nope. Just back it in to that dock and we unload you now. Cool.
Now sitting back at the same spot for my complete 10.dwells40 Thanks this. -
Wheeler ridge c at the petro.
Picked load up in Richmond ca this morning. Traffic sucked going there like usual lol
Delivers at 1400 tomorrow in irvine ca. -
Rock Springs, WY @ Cruel Jack's (exit 99). WYDOT closed I-80 @ the 111 exit 25 miles ahead of me. I remembered this place (didn't want to chance the J in Rock Springs) and was the first truck to park here. Place is packed now and I couldn't leave if I wanted.
This load is turning into a royal pain. Shortly after taking it (Sumner to Pueblo) I messaged my DM saying I'd talk to him about a t-call after I picked it up. When he dispatched me he assigned a t-call to West Valley City. I was running about 18 hours late (really crappy weather in WA & OR) and when I checked in this morning he informed that someone had taken the t-call off (I was never informed). He called me back to say West Valley wouldn't let me t-call it because "it's snowing and we don't have any freight". So now I'm stuck here in Rock Springs knee deep in snow. -

Yesterday I shut down just north of Ely, NV because of snow and crosswinds with a very light load. It only put me down about 5 hours to my final delivery in Boise today.
As a result of shutting down for the weather I was given $50 in shutdown pay. (Not requested by me, and I was surprised by the QC message.)
It also rescheduled my next pick up from this afternoon to tomorrow morning.
So instead of having to drive at 0330 this morning and then another 85 miles to the next load and back to try and find a place to park tonight, I slept in a bit and stopped early today.
No loss on my end, as I keep my next load and still have the miles from the last one on this pay check. Plus the extra $50.
And then I see the latest video message about a couple drivers that were pushing through the bad.
One of them was going 62 on an ice covered road, just prior to the crash.
And all for what? To get those extra few miles for the day?
I shut down when it is not safe to drive. I really do not think I lose that much in the process. -
It was 84° here today. So far this "winter", no snow, no ice and no sign of any blizzards. Doesn't suck at all.
Frankdptrucker and Moosetek13 Thank this.
