True statement... my next thought was actually a faulty modulator, but I’m just going to get it to the dealer to get it scanned. I had a feeling you were say that hahaha. So the dealer software will detect where the exact issue is it will they have to test each modulator ?

Just to give you an update I went this morning had it scanned and it was determined that the abs module was getting a signal. Turns out it the connections were corroded and dirty.

99% of abs problems are wiring. You will notice most wiring to sensors and modulators are twisted. The wiring will actually rub through on other wires and through the loom to the point a dead short hasn't happened yet, but a micro short has started which will set a code. Bendix is extremely sensitive to those. The insulation won't be fully rubbed through and may look ok, but a trace amount of water and salt will penetrate through and cause a short. Very hard to pinpoint with modulators because internally they all share the same common ground inside the abs ecu, so it will not tell you which one. You have to disconnect the harness at the ecu and measure each modulator to ground and see which one has a short. They need to be perfectly open to ground. The ecu will still detect shorts that are in the MegaOhms, or millions of ohms and cause a fault. Hopefully they did fix it 100%, if not, hopefully this will help.

Thanks for the help it definitely helped me! The dealer here in Phoenix still has it so hopefully it gets completely taken care of.

    Hey
Hey heavy D I’ve got the TC light stuck on with the triangle on as well. The bendix is showing a code ACB Fault spn 1814 fmi 2 and spn 2917 fmi 19

I did accidentally bump the PDL on while driving not sure how long it was on..although i did notice my batteries drained from fridge and bunk heater running and it went to load shedding and the truck barely started up in the cold weather. That’s when I first noticed the lights acting weird.

Shows the first code is some kind of tire size calibration error. The second is a communication error with the radar at the front of the truck. Since your batteries went low to cause load shedding, it is possible power to the radar is something that got cut off. The PDL can't thing can't hurt anything. Once these get logged you need Bendix software to clear. If they come back, then something is wrong and further troubleshooting is needed.

Yep, just spoke to the shop and they said it’s likely a voltage issue or since the power got low & went into load shedding that it may just need the codes to be cleared but will need to be done with Bendix software. They won’t be available until Monday and today’s Friday so it looks like no cruise control this weekend. Hopefully just a $290 code clearance does the trick.

so today I got with the mechanic and we cleaned the batteries and changed the axle load sensor and fixed a connector where there was corrosion on one of the wires coming out of the harness that connects right to the bendix radar at the front. But the TC light is still on along with the Orange Triangle. But we don’t have Bendix software to clear the codes. Will these lights reset on their own since we fixed the visible corrosion and replaced a bad sensor or do we need the bendix software to clear them at all?

The codes will go inactive IF you fix all the problems and the light will go out. To test that drive the vehicle over 5 mph, if it's fix the light will go out.. If not you have to retrieve the codes again and see what you get.

so after changing the axle sensor and connector at the radar it turned out I had a leaking wheel seal with diff fluid all caked up on the abs sensor. The shop didn’t even see it I noticed a funny smell and saw diff fluid all on the brakes. Changed the wheel seal and cleaned the sensor.
