Can anyone give me any information good or bad on Land Span out of Lakeland Florida. I am thinking of changing companies and they are the one that I am considering going to.
Thanks

I'm not sure if you've reviewed their website yet or not, but it looks like they're only a team company. Not sure if that applies to you or not.

Put them at the BOTTOM of your list. Turn and dont walk but RUN. They are LIARS. Worst company ive ever worked for.

They must of changed. Used to have nice trucks, ran good. Part of watkins and sunco. I heard they went to team. Find a current driver if possible and ask,
Hey, try Sunco !!! -
Couldnt agree more, ran team and smoe weeks we ran really hard and almost got 2500 miles. You do alot of sitting bust your a@# for 2 days then sit for anywhere from 1 to 8 days depending on how lucky you are.
I dont recomend them for a team we lasted there about 5 months. They are going thru alot of office personell too, I went thru 2 dispatchers in my short time there.
Also just fyi you have to pay a 250 truck deposit just to drive for them and they cut pay across the board. So you may wanna do a little more researchLast edited: Oct 23, 2009

Too bad, they were a top notch unit at one time. Try keystone freight. They had an ad eariler this week. Theres always knight, LCT, WEL, Barr-Nunn, if ya get hard up. Good Luck Driver.....

At one time they were top notch back when they had the classics they were running nuts to the wall then they cut the trucks down and lost some contracts because of that.
Then of course when the economy took a turn they lost alot in the electronics line of work and the freight haulers they pull for started doin most of it their self.
Has real good potencial but they need to fine tune quite a few things -
I'm thinking of going team and leasing to Land Span. I don't want to go team but can't seem to make a decent living running single. Anyone have experience with them? What can you tell me about them? They're saying 4800 miles a week currently, which is low for team, 96 cents per mile plus surcharge if you have HAZMAT.
