So I’m a big gym goer, always hitting the iron 4x a week. I am planning to buy a pair of adjustable dumbbells 100lbs each with a foldable bench to bench press outside the truck and do rows, dumbbell squats, deadlifts, and military pressing. However, I’m interested to know if the majority of truck stops have a decent gym and by decent I’m not referring to a bunch of cardio machines or even weight lifting machines with cables. Just a straight squat rack with a free barbell. I know some truck stops must have that but do MOST truck stops have that?

Oh untrue. Every time I go to a truck stop I see at least 3 guys lookin at the pizza slices as they’re thinking “I’m fitness whole thing in my mouth”

Oh man. Adjustable dumbbells and portable bench it is then.

Any ways to do pull ups with a truck guys? Is there a place I can hang one of those doorway pull up bars between the sleeper and driver’s seat?

TMC has a YouTube video of one of its drivers who uses his flatbed for various workouts he does, including incline pullups... I'll go ahead and post it.

Snickerdoodles would be a great name for a strip club.

If you are truly committed to continuing your weight lifting and gym program, you’ll need to seek out a local or small regional gig that gets you near select truck-accessible gyms frequently. Running 48 OTR and trying to get in serious workouts 4+ times a week will be an exercise in futility. The realities of HOS rules and limited facilities [with easy off/on truck access] is going to be hard to overcome on a consistent basis.
