Agree wholeheartedly my freind!!
People keep doing #### because they are never stopped! All this slapping them on the wrist is BS that doesn’t cure nothing! I’ll give one warning yes, after that they need to pay the consequences. Examples need to be made!!Al. Roper, cke, jamespmack and 21 others Thank this. -

It does add up, but if you're doing it yourself it kind of helps the punch to the wallet. After working in a restoration/hotrod shop I really got a different perspective on what it costs to do a full on restoration if you pay someone else to do it. Some big money, especially in labor costs.
Hands down the coolest project I worked on was a 1950 Ford 2-Door. The guy who brought it in had inherited it from his father who'd bought it new. It had been a daily driver from '50 to about '94. When I was doing the tear down I found the original hand written maintenance records in the glove box. Spent time reading them and it was like opening a time capsule. Also where I found some key information about the engine which had been rebuilt twice, and had about 224k miles on it.
Oh, and the mid 50's Chevy Pickups have some class to them. Hope yours turns out to be everything you want of it.cke, jamespmack, rda2580 and 15 others Thank this. -
Dad had a 73 1/2 ton, 350 with factory 3 in the tree. Remains of it are at my kinfolks place. Like to have it today.cke, jamespmack, Feedman and 17 others Thank this.

Be surprised what one them military crank style telephones will get outta a guy with the leads hooked to his satchel, the crank cut off straight and a cordless dewalt chucked up on it.Al. Roper, cke, peterbilt_2005 and 21 others Thank this.

The only car my Dad ever bought New was a 65 Olds Delta 88 four door with a 425. It wasn't a slouch. Faster than the 65 Mustang with the 289 he got for my brother, or at least I thought so. My brother never used much throttle.
Before I was born or shortly after that, Dad had a Vincent ( probably a Black Shadow ). Those were the top dog deal for many years back in the 50's and very early 60's. 125 mph top speed. Those are worth reading about if you don't know what they are.cke, jamespmack, Feedman and 14 others Thank this. -
