Hi.... Lately the list of alerts keep pilling up from one day to another even after I've seen them. They used to be removed from the list on the up right corner but now they don't and I have to scroll down the list to see which ones I have seen already and which ones are new. Please advise and thanks in advance. :biggrin_25519:

Working normally for me, as well, Rocks. What operating system and browser are you using?

    Rocks Thanks this.

I am using Firefox. I wasn't having this problem a week or so ago.... but now, every day I join the forum, I see a list that keeps growing (like today it showed 53 alerts) but it includes alerts from previous days that I have already seen. It only happens from one day to another. Not on the same day. Should I update my browser?

    d o g Thanks this.

Try clearing your cache first and see if that helps you.

    InTooDeep and Rocks Thank this.

Thank you very much Mr. @d o g for sending me a pm to make sure the problem was solved. :biggrin_25519:
I didn't clear the cache but did update the operating system. And since then, the problem has not happened again.

I sometimes get that many, most of it is thank yous and nice enough, but once in a while they hold a quoted post or some other thing that's important.

I run Mozilla also on windows 7 (Might as well be 10 behind scenes) and had no trouble with the alerts, the forum does well enough provided I do not answer too many questions from other posters in a short time, that is where the protection from spam or floods kick in. I pace myself to stay inside the clock slowly and steady posting away.

The biggest change to Mozilla is the addition of what is considered Anti-adblocker-Killer add ons. This is relatively new. There are websites (NOT TTR... TTR has been fantastic) that actively destruct your adblocker this year and punch through the popups, ads and smut etc. So the new trend of computer warfare has escalated to the adding of add ons to Mozilla to offensively interfere with a website server trying to stop you from blocking ads and clean up the loading time etc.

Another add on I use is called "Pocket" it takes any page and reduces it to a text document like format with nothing other than the writing content whatever it might be. Again TTR has been fantastic and no trouble here, they are actually white listed meaning they can put up whatever they like to. I do keep track of the ignore list though, sometimes it's necessary to keep the peace and the moderators able to enjoy life a little more. HA...

I had the same issue, I had to terminate firefox to get it to clear and start it clean with a reboot. It also happened on my ipad but then when it stopped on the mac, it stopped on the ipad.

    d o g and Rocks Thank this.
