    A lot has changed over the years. Growing up my uncle used a vacuum motor like this on his forge. We used the forge to sharpen the bits on the drilling rigs. When the motor quit it was time to fix it..., couple D batteries and a flat file we was back in business. Not that easy anymore.

    Gladly my 287C has no DPF. It still can be a challenge to work on though.

    Yep. Many of the hydraulic valves, hoses and harnesses on the firewall gotta come off, then the DPF gets yanked out through the firewall.
