Geez no,we got more white death coming down.lol
I have to take my wife to the doctor tomorrow.
And if she's good,I told her we would stop for lunch and bloody marys.
cke, Al. Roper, jamespmack and 24 others Thank this. -
They check that thru the ecm, correct?
Now, what if a man programmed the ecm that he had 255/22.5 tires and 4.56 rears; then ran 3.55 on tall rubber?cke, Al. Roper, jamespmack and 22 others Thank this. -
You should be glad I am not there taking up parking spots ....cke, Al. Roper, jamespmack and 13 others Thank this.

Mmm, no. There’s a difference. I understand why you or anyone that is pulling OD, or even a stacked HH needs some room.
You’re the titanic compared to this ARI sleeper yanking a moving van. I’d be shocked if he’s over 280wb... He’s just being a dick.cke, Al. Roper, jamespmack and 18 others Thank this. -
On "most" trucks the speedo dip switches are how to fool the ECM speed limiter, speed and miles will be off though.
Stevecke, jamespmack, Tug Toy and 12 others Thank this. -
My dip switches only do the speedo/odo they don’t go back to the ecm. Not sure about newer trucks?cke, jamespmack, Tug Toy and 15 others Thank this. -
We had this problem over the pond, everyone running at the same speed. Bad idea, it was especially bad in parts of Germany where there was huge sections of no truck overtaking. Mile after mile of trucks stuck in the right lane. No one wants to give an inch.cke, jamespmack, Tug Toy and 17 others Thank this.

On the newer trucks the speedo reports to the ECM. Do you have cruise control? The 48 pin ECM won't work with a autoshift for that reason IIRC.
Stevecke, jamespmack, Tug Toy and 11 others Thank this. -
They used to program company trucks like that, change the tire size or ratio in the ecm. Speedometer shows 65, truck run 68-70. Like Steve said, odometer and miles would be off a bit. And you might get a Tcs/abs fault. And there are also plugs and resistors that go in the speed sensor on the tail shaft that can fool the ecm, so I’ve heard.cke, Al. Roper, jamespmack and 16 others Thank this.
