Between Gunnison and Poncha Springs, US 50. It's not bad as long as the weather is good. But has lots of hard curves and a lot of really bad drop-offs with no guard rails or shoulder, whatsoever

Whenever they start giving you their short runs it’s a totally lost cause. They always schedule loads with an extra 24 hours on them. If it’s a 2000+ mile load that’s fine but when they’re sending you 700 mile runs all the time you’re sitting around just as much as you’re driving.

Holland probably only sets maybe half the appointments. The shipper sets the rest of them. Plus, in winter across problematic areas of the country, they often err on the side of caution and factor in an additional 24 hours in case of a major weather event.
They got tired of drivers missing tight loads and all the headaches that brings about. In winter time, there’s just no way you can schedule to make everybody happy, every load.

    jeff18 Thanks this.
