Working pipes, or one dummy and one working. That really baffles me that they put a dummy on just for looks. Maybe it is to keep the lateral weight balanced? Riiiiiiiiiiight.

 

They both work per the driver

 

I told him that's what should happen. He called the boss and the boss said
"Patch it up, we're trading the trailer off soon anyway."
I pounded the gap closed, stuck an old bolt in it so I didn't weld the hole completely shut, welded the crack, stuck in 2 new bolts and sent him on his way.
