Smart is a psychological measure of a person’s “intelligence quotient”, and in the trucking business that measure of "intelligence quotient" often doesn't translate into anything even remotely close to "logical". I'd much rather work with "logical" rather than "smart", especially when it comes to these kind of moves. The engineers have computers that say it's going to go "this way" when in reality there's no logical or practical way to make it go that way. But, they have a higher "intelligence quotient" than us drivers so we have to do it their way to prove it can't be done.
Wanna really piss one off, grab your Big Chief Tablet and Crayons to try and tell them why something won't work.................Feedman, Slowpoke KW, 1951 ford and 12 others Thank this. -

No prepass and got the exit signal. This was a "smart" coop. It would have known if I had passed it.
Also to note that they are pulling trucks in left and right tonight so likely would have been red lit anyway.
Current situation

Na my Dad was 6'7" and not a small fella. Dont get me wrong he thought the 63 inch flat top walk in was way better than a crawl through coffin. He rode with me to pick up the brand new truck I bought, 63 inch unibilt flat top. He drove it off the lot, seat down seat slide all the way back and the wheel tilted a little. Before we got to the big road he looked at me said it's a good thing I'm retired or you would have to order you another ride. This mo fo is like drivin a long car with a chauffeur at the wheel lmao.
Edit to add up to that point in his life his 82 359 was the nicest thing he had drove truck wise. His first with power steering and steer axle brakes. No tilt, small cab with no where to go. To hear him say I owned the finest truck on the road is the peak moment in the truckin business for meLast edited: Feb 11, 2019
