Cat c12 fan clutch

Just wondering on startup why does the fan kick on? It only does this when building air pressure and once the tanks hit 80 the fan kicks off. I know this is a normal thing because all our trucks do it, just wondering why.

Air supply to fan clutch solenoid is pressure protected.

it happens because air pressure is what the fan off. the lack of pressure is what turns the fan on
