Hell I’ve went into the 12’4” bridge in maspeth no scrapes. Forgot the name it’s a green bridge.
If you want to live dangerously. If you’re loaded and with the airbags dropped you can fit under the 11’9” bridge in Roosevelt ave in Queens. Don’t ask me how I know.

NY generally posts their bridges a foot lower than the actual clearance.
Only bridges with less than 14' of clearance are posted
And if it says "actual clearance" then it Means actual clearance...x1Heavy, GreenPete359 and Tb0n3 Thank this. -

Crazy the way NY is with these markings being off.

First timer here.Going to 2 Galasso Place Maspeth (49th street) 13' 4" 75' long. GPS says come in on GW Bridge exit expressway at exit 40 (69th street) R on Roosevelt L on 58th to Maspeth Ave. to 49th. What is the clearance under that tracks or whatever it is you have to run under on Roosevelt St. from 69th to 58th ? Any better suggestions ? Thanks in advance.
x1Heavy Thanks this. -

Here is Roosevelt and 58th street

You will see there is a overpassto the east (Right of that intersection...) *Editing pending uploading screenshots with answers between 58th and 69th streets -
Ok Your Roosevelt brought back memories. This is one street that is completely under Elevated tracking.
Using Roosevelt and 58th as a deadline I recalled and found Roosevelt and Skillman Ave or roughly 55th street. Both posts of the EL on the west side of Roosevelt intersection at that point declare a 12 foot 2 inch clearance in yellow and black. Another reason I picked this spot is that there is pavement, maybe sufficient to turn in with the help of the friendly Lawman. Without being stupid like Swift or some other bottom feeding company that breaks trucks trying to turn em.
At the moment I am visually checking clearances on this elevated from 70th on down to 55th here. I think you plan a left turn at 58th and we will take a look at that too.

Ok following Roosevelt from 55th to 58th street going east with the computer (You will be coming against this view point.)
This view features white black signs times two, One says truckroute posted on the EL Post to your right at corner and another says local truckroute below that. On the corner across says 58th street. You will be making that left (Coming towards the camera view here and going to the right side of the picture as you turn.)Dumdriver Thanks this.
