    Correctamundo !
Nope. Mr Clessie Cummins hisself. The Founder of Cummins was a high school dropout and was a chauffeur for the Banker family named Irwin. He bought a diesel engine from Europe and the story began. Later on the Banker dismissed him from the company that bears his name but he was still a fan of the companies and it's products. He invented the Engine Brake and the Jacobs company won the bid to produce the product. Clessie made sure that the Cummins engines were the first ones produced for.
Clessie also ran diesels at the Indy 500 on at least 3 occasions and stunned the field by winning the pole position in 52.
Clessie was also a member of the pit crew for the winner of the very first Indy 500 in 1911, Ray Harroun, driving a Marmon Wasp.
