I don’t use 12-ga anywhere. 10 from RigRunner except to amp.
8, 6, and 4 start to demand their own tools. Not what most of us carry for lamp-out repairs.
Careful routing and attachment just as important.
I can think of several examples of wires just sort of hanging around shown in this forum.
Anyhow, Craig, along with tests suggested above, are you getting reports of your signal dropping off? Parked, idling? Might be worth asking sometime.
In other words, besides focus on voltage, what would satisfy you? -
The best way I get my signal to drop off is connecting a circulator port to the battery.
