Personally I would have to agree. But I do thing their are situations were chains help you but roads are still travel worthy. They help in snow or to get you somewhere. Ice I simply don’t drive in chains or not you can’t steer. Personally I try and make it a habit to let a lot of other things affect weather I go or not and hometime is simply one I keep out of the equation. Chaining up gets easier more you do it and get the ruthenium down on. Just like securing a load and tarping it’s not easy but seems less difficult the more you do it. Be safe hope your travels are smooth and easy as they can be.
You can go down a mountain a 1000 times to slow. You only go down a mountain too fast once

You are right. Took me some time to throw them on and to get them tight. It was my first time doing so. I truly believe in chaining only to get out of a situation . Not to put me into one. So next time if im not in a deadzone ill probably just wait it out. Rather be safe than sorry.

Ya I feel ya buddy just shutdown early in salt lake gonna go down to Provo and cut diagonally towards Gallup Albuquerque area on some hwy action to get to the okc area. Weeks like this decently show on trip planning as best you can and watching weather across the country. I use my radar to keep a eye on things. Hell my wife calls me for weather forecasts of when stuff might hit lol. Teion are u past rocky springs depending we’re ur going might be worth the back track to keep rolling. I know I90 is shut down too for avalanche somewhere up their. I had a buddy tell me to maybe run hwy 30 if I really wanted to get across
