This I actually can believe. It could also explain why they let the least skilled to become truck drivers so easily. Let'em have CDL, so they don't get to live past 60. ELDS - a modern method of social euthanasia.

I don't have a clue because I've never had one nor will I ever. I was just making broad non factual statements like you.Dave_in_AZ Thanks this.

Got it. However, Scottie’s video demonstrates the parking improvement. You and I are both a couple rebels, you with that avatar and me with my General Lee cb. I just solely rely on technology because I cannot do the job without it. That’s the difference between us.Dave_in_AZ Thanks this.

Ya'll got me worried and upset now.

Looks perfect. Not just fair.

I've used it a few times in Alb. at the T/A, company pays for it, not me. Once it was overbooked and the manager had to make people move.

If you're paying say $15/week average that's $780 a year. That's no small potatoes. Over 5-10 years, that adds up to thousands of dollars. Points pay for it? Yea, but that's money you could be spending on other things that you now have to pay to sleep.
OTR got it backwards. You guys should be paid TO SLEEP on the road, not PAY FOR the privilege of sleeping in a piss-stained truckstop. No wonder Warren Buffett bought a big stake in Pilot/Flying J.scottied67, PE_T, adayrider and 1 other person Thank this. -
If you're consistently getting in a full ten or so hours of driving every day, and if you're consistently parking near your next stop, how much is that worth over time? I used to have to start looking for a parking spot every night around sundown. Now I drive as long as I want because I know I can park. It's a case of spending money to make money.LoSt_AgAiN and Astoh Thank this.

Actually, most drivers would not be able to use shower credits (UltraCredits) to pay for parking. That’s only if you fuel 1,500 gallons per month.

Tried premier parking again. All spots were taken. Walked up to counter and another driver was telling them same thing. He parked his truck in front of exit from fuel pumps so no one could get out. Said he has asked nice earlier to get people to move and no help. They sent out the guy cleaning the showers to move trucks. I was able to back up and get the first spot. After the shower guy made another truck move another driver that had prepaid backed into that spot that was suppose to go to the driver blocking the fuel lane. He was hot. I went inside to do laundry and their were five guys waiting to take showers. Showers werent getting cleaned. By the time I got my laundry done the guy that was blocking the fuel islands still hadnt showered.
Drivers, stop taking those spots and Pilot/Flying J put the signs up and check for receipts before everything becomes a cluster.TallJoe Thanks this.
