I barely made it down to Floyd, IA. Minneapolis was a complete #### show as I went through there at 3:00pm. Got run out of time on my 8 hour window, had to stop at the Walmart in Shakopee trying to get around a 50 minute back up on the I494.

Started heading south on the I35, Google tells me they've closed it, have to go around the back way down to Floyd. Takes me down a route I'd normally have no issues going in any other season than winter, but a storm came through and coated the roads in ice, blowing snow, near zero visibility.

I can't say I've ever been as stressed behind the wheel in my life, ever. Constant feeling of dread filling my instincts. Going to need a beer or two after that.

At least I've got a 930 appointment tomorrow in Waterloo.

I was just cleaning out the fridge....

Saute onions, celery, and garlic in olive oil and a little butter. Spoonful of minced garlic, ground pepper and salt. Chopped up some fuzzy mushrooms after I wiped them off and added them.

When that got happy I added the hamburger and a can of mushroom soup. A little milk and chopped a couple more mushrooms and tossed them in. Simmered for awhile.

Was missing something so I added a little sugar and a couple splashes of fish sauce. Grated in some gouda.

Dumped the egg noodles in the dish and dumped in the pan of sauce. Grated more gouda on top.

    400° for 18 minutes.

Tada.... ..ya got a casserole outa out of leftovers.

@OLDSKOOLERnWV we still run a 580 construction king loader and backhoe on the farm. It is a 69 model. That's what we used to push snow with before we got the payloader. It has the 4 cylinder gas engine which we rebuilt in our shop years ago and has the power shuttle transmission with 4 forward gears.

It's been a handy loader to have around the farm. When I was a little kid and still to this day always love watching dad run the backhoe with just his right arm ( he lost his left arm in a baler accident when he was 23). The swing of the boom left or right was done by your feet but just amazing how he run the controls with one hand.

We still have the owners manual for it.

When I arrived to load in St. Paul there were puddles in the lot (11:30). When I was pulling out 1 hour later the puddles were frozen. When I looked at my gps at 1:30 on my way out of town headed south east I noticed it was completely red. Figured something weather related came swooping in? Glad I got out when I did!!

Sorry I missed ya but glad you made it through alright!

Not sure who they could sell it to at this point, as far as truck manufacturers, but it would be good to see!
