It may be worth looking at the harness while you’re there. We have 2 BXS engines, and both have had the engine harness replaced due to chafing on the debris cover on the harness where it plugs into the ECM.

how hard its to replace the harness for someone with not much experience?

Replacing these inside harness's is definitely a job for an experienced mechanic. Depending on what chassis it's in, Jake housings may need to be removed front or rear. Older rusty trucks will have broken bolts in the head and things will be frozen together.frustrated trucker Thanks this.
