Reporting 'Illegal' hauling?

Lol, landscapers that use illegals as laborers got smart. Instead of under bidding by 50% they underbid by 10% and ADD to their profit margin!

I think it's just another symptom of a bigger problem. People are broke all the time these days. Things people used to do as a favor (yeah I could haul your horse for you, I've got a truck and trailer I'm not using) are now being done for cash (remember when we moved Mr. Jones horse for $50? Well there's a guy in the next county who needs his horse moved for $200) soon they think they have a business idea (yeah we could run into and out of the county fair for you) not being familiar with trucking at all they have no idea where the line is that puts them into "commercially operated" and they figure I've BEEN doing it, ergo it MUST be legal!

It's an expensive lesson to learn, but right now it doesn't seem like something DOT is willing to enforce.

Mind your own business... That's what happened when a man passed out in an emergency waiting for service, he died... That's what happened when a bag was found at an and nobody reports it, a hundred people died... That's what happened when a kid said he wanted to kill the whole school and no one reports it.. He kills 30 people... That's what happens when a horse trailer crashes with a whole family of horses on it and the family members are devastated and don't even have any insurance money to help with their losses or their suffering. Might have been avoided with a professional driver with the proper amount of sleep and cargo Insurance to help with the family's pain and suffering,.. Thank you world for all these people that we are blessed with

I understand to haul horses we need to follow regulations however, they need to work on them. I want to do things the legal way but they make it very difficult. If I haul horses with my duramx that truck becomes a commercial vehicle. Due to medical reasons my husband cannot get a CDL. This means my husband who is a farmer is not allowed to drive the Duramax for farm related things, other than hauling horses. How is that right? I have to invest in another truck. I’m sorry but it isn’t in the budget to have $80k in trucks. If they would make it so my husband could drive the truck when not being used as a commercial vehicle I would be happy to do things “right” but the law makers make it difficult for the person who occasionally hauls horses for profit. (Because I’m a trainer not that I am trying to get into the hauling business)

Explain why you haul horses and how far you need to haul them.

I pick up horses to be trained and return them when there training is done. I have hauled up to 2,000 miles.
Using a 3/4 ton Chevy and a 4 horse aluminum trailer (no living quarters)
    Total weight under 26,000#
