I don't know about the op. But not all smaller scales are easily found.
I picked up a load by the canadian border. 1000, lbs heavy and the closest scale was spokane 200 miles away.
I did drive by a couple but they were closed.
Overweight ticket

I wonder how much the ticket is for discharging hazardous waste.I don't know how it's done on the west coast but on the east coast I used to just take the bypass.Come to think of it I did see a scalehouse on I5 when I was on vacation, thought it was a truck stop lol, they probably make a lot more money than a truckstop.Lepton1 Thanks this.

you make no sense, are you working for a company or are you an owner?
-
The DOT in Oregon can be great, and they can be a nightmare. Monday I arrived at the port of entry on I-5 coming in from California. They called me in to see my paperwork. I must wear glasses to drive and as I crossed the scales my drives were a little heavy but legal, and I dropped them down around my neck so I could see the weight on the display better literally in front of the DOT officer. He gave me a ticket for not wearing my glasses while driving even though I was stopped on the scale when I took them off and they were clearly visible to him. No fine, but a mark on my CSR which sucks big time. I need to figure out how to fight it. That was just a cheap shot on his part.
jon69, Truckermania, Lepton1 and 3 others Thank this.
