Yes Sir the U-joint was bad. I felt some “impact” motion the other day, got to looking and found the front joint was going out.

never heard of such a thing

The thing that pisses me off is when I send somebody an invoice near the end of the year. They sit on it forever. Then date the check 12-31 and mail it. I get it the first week of the new year. And then get a 1099 later for the previous year.
You can do all the end of the year tax planning you want but when 3 or 4 guys pull that **** your all screwed up. -
I learned something today

In my simple mind, this is how it should work. You've got the receipt showing you paid it, that should be sufficient.

My brother does a little clearing on the side, if he can keep it under I guess $600 there’s no 1099.

@OLDSKOOLERnWV
I ran late today on my five stopper and it worked out perfect for dinner. Met the wife and kids and went to Trace Grill and ordered the ribs. Here's a delicious preview if you stop down this way.

Kinda excited I guess, if nothing changes I’m flying to Iowa next in a couple weeks to pick up our new fuel truck. Been a while since I’ve been that far.
peterbilt_2005, cke, BigBob410 and 21 others Thank this. -
OH LORD..... SOMEONE DIAL 911.....

Man I would have gladly given you the $300 for that!! My first tractor experience was about 1969, my uncle had a Case tractor. He sold or traded it to his brother and bought a 8N, then after a few years traded it for 641 Ford Workmaster with a loader, then years later traded it for a brand new MF 230 diesel in 1981. When he died in 83 the MF had 18 hours on it.
Anyway I longed for that Case tractor, I could hear them fire it up down in the holler and I would walk around the mountain spotting it through the trees.
As kinfolk got older the old Case got less and less use, eventually it was parked for many years. When aunt Ella died which was my great uncles sister in law, her youngest son ended up with that Case tractor.
My heart was broken because I didn’t know the fate of the old Case now. Not long after he moved it across road to his property. I mentioned to him if he ever took a notion to get shed of it I sure would be interested in it.
Time goes by, and about a year later he called me. Blah blah blah...... hey, you still interested in uncle Lester’s old Case??
HECK YEA!! Well he said, you always been like another son to us, and you always stopped and helped us no matter what. I want you to have it, I’m giving it to you if you think you can do anything with it. So it’s on the list for a total tear down and restore... along with the original Case - Detroit sycle mower that goes under the belly.
It’s a 1946 VAI, setting in the weeds waiting it’s turn to shine again. -
Man oh man!! Looks like it would be worth dead heading down for lol. Was it good?
