Thanks everyone for the info. I'll look into the places you mentioned. I plan on buying an older truck here soon so that might be an issue with some company's? I want to stay on paper, as well as being able to buy a truck with cash snd have no payment will be a plus.. so does anyone else know of companies that dont have age restrictions on equipment? dump or tanker is what I'm interested in.

Page runs a lot in OH, MI, PA, IN, IL & NY for dumps. Tanks only really run between buffalo, Albany, Syracuse to Toledo, Detroit, Cleveland.

Dumps weren't forced dispatch, you could certainly turn work down. I very rarely did though. They will run you as hard as you let them. Home time is what you want. I personally was home weekends.

So it sounds like where I live might be a perfect area to live at for their dumps. Good to hear it isnt forced, but like you I will rarely turn down work as long as it pays. How are the rates for dump work? I have my hazmat and hear the money is in dirty dirt. Is Ohio a good area for hazmat work with Page? I'm a hard runner but would need to home on weekends, and if I could swing by the house some days throughout the week as well, thats just icing on the cake. I see alot of Page dumps parked at the rest area on Rt. 2 in Ohio in my hometime, so it might work out to where I could stop by the house throughout the week as well? I would be working from either the Perrysburg terminal or North Jackson, I would assume. I'm basically right between the two. Any other info you could help a brother out with? Thanks again.

I don't know a lot about the dirty dirt, I never got on it. The only haz I pulled was dross and it paid well. I personally worked for the MN affiliate and they were great to work for. Always kept me busy. You can either work/ get dispatched by an affiliate or NY Corp. If you really want on the dirt, you'll be under the ETI side, but at the end of the day, I think it all works out to be about equal. The problem with the dirt is if it's a longer run, you'll always be dh back to the job. You can't haul anything else till you get washed out. When there's not dirty jobs, you'll run regular stuff. And there's lots coming out of the Toledo area.

You mind being OTR? Where are you in Ohio? Cc cob pulls out of Ohio near Ny. That could work. I'm on with them.

I ran between 200-500 miles. Living in Chicago here's what I typically ran.
    Chicago - quad cities.
    Quad cities - Detroit.
    Detroit - Peoria/quad cities.
Quad cities - Morgantown KY (haz)
    Chicago - Minneapolis
Minneapolis - ft Wayne or Nashville (haz)
    IN - Morgantown KY
    Quad cities - Toledo
    Toledo - Gary or Chicago.
    Detroit - Milwaukee.

With you living in OH, my guess would be a lot of upstate NY or western PA back to OH. That's just normal dump work. The dirt could be anywhere. Talking to guys on the dirt side, at the end of the year, I don't know if they really made any more then I would of.
I left after 4 months and came back to pulling tanks. Not because I didn't like the company, I liked tankers more and couldn't pass the offer I had. If I was going to pull dumps again, I would go back to Page in a heart beat. Everyone was great to work with.
