Does anyone know the requirements of being able to register on Sylectus? I would like to see what the market is like for myself because I feel like most of the dispatchers are not too honest. I have been told that Sylectus costs $300 a month. Is that true? Also been told that you need some kind of certificate to get an account there. Is that true? Any info will be greatly appreciated!
Do you know about Sylectus?

Sure. I worked directly with someone who did in 2016
You need 1 million liability insurance + 100,000 cargo (I've seen $1500 a month for that, I've seen less on a single van)
You also need 5 vans or they don't want you. And when you finally get accepted, you realize no one wants to work with you with a new mc#
That being said, the owner of the company I worked for bribed his contact with a $4000 advance payment and found runs to take (spending all day on the phone, and badgering carriers and brokers tilll they gave him something)
I'm not sure if Sylectus is the best way for a single van... -
I just looked at your pic. Do you write "under 10k" on the door, or are you following regs?
-
Neither. I am under 10k though. Never had issues!

Most have either active broker or carrier authority. $300.00 is mid point, could be more, depending on how many trucks you have and how many runs you do.It's not cheap or easy to get on. One van, lease on to a carrier, business is really slow right now for some. My biggest complaints with carriers were they would go around me, like in favortism.
