Hello I recently purchased a Peterbilt with 120 gallon tanks. My problem is that every time I start fueling the nozzle always falls out of the fuel hole and I end up needing to hang onto the nozzle and fuel one tank at a time just so it doesn’t fall out. Does anyone else have this problem or know of way to fix this?

Are you by chance always filling up at the same pump that doesn’t have a lip at the end of the nozzle as well as a “spring” wrap-around? Like maybe a terminal pump that’s not well-spec’d?
Without these, many would have this problem.Last edited: Feb 20, 2019

Stand there and hold the thing.

No always different pumps. Loves and pilots that all have the spring or the lip.

It would be nice to be able to fuel both tanks at the same time

Yeah about that ... I would like world peace but it won't happen.
Here is a suggestion, and I am speaking from experience on this.
Get two cheap replacement caps, get a hole drilled into each of them the a bit bigger than the nozzle or spring where the pump handle will fit all the way in so when you fill the tanks they won't fall out.Lepton1 Thanks this.
