Keep in mind slim..When the body style changed so did the mount..Procomm has one for the latest and previous model that look alike..

 

Yes sir. That's why I'm shopping for a new mount. I expect to need one by this fall.

 

Well if your getting a new latest n greatest plascadia slowmover posted pics of a door mount that looked about the best i seen yet..All one piece already set at an angle..All you need is a stud and ant..No extra brackets or nothin..

Better than the ProComms which are nice, but lighter duty. I own a pair of these and have handled the mounts at Clays.

 

Doors are actually aluminum, fiberglass and plastic crap on cascadia starts mostly above the door, you can put the self tapping screws in the door but can strip, it might seem like plastic but just not magnetic, aluminum is a good conductor and I just buy a 25 roll if tinned ground strap 1/4" cheap and double it up on 2 lugs and heat shrink tubing good rf ground strap, mirror mount bolts to door, door to body, body to frame, also back of cab to frame, total ground plane

 

I just run a moonraker6 on my left mirror bracket, gets out straight in front of the truck real well, but I keep getting it stuck on phone poles on the other side of the street.

 

No need for self tapping screws. Use these instead.
