Yup. Sunday is bid time. I'm just biding my time until then. If I don't get a Sunday or Monday start, I'll start pressing the issue. That'll be BS

Well good luck with bids. I won't have to worry about that for a couple more years.

Last night was hell. Went to Indianapolis. Saw a little bit of snow, which is a euphemism for it was snowing so hard I couldn't tell if I was moving.

ill second that. i pull out of indy. i caught that wintery ####tail both ways on 70 to columbus and back. 9.5 hr day turned into 13. i’ve never seen trucks having to back down the hills in dayton because they couldn’t get up them...ohio dropped the ball. big time.

Ohio is totally hit or miss with snow. Sounds like I'm glad I didn't head east last night.

20190220_174138.jpg Im at small truck stop in a small town, I forgot the feeling of driving in the open road, I was given a peddle route and man I gotta say I miss being on the road.

Im seriously considering applying for the Dock trainee position i already have my CDL and Hazmat. Was looking to apply at Charlotte. Anyone know what the Charlotte terminal is like and usually how long do you do dock before they put you with a trainer on a truck.

Charlotte is pretty big and very organized. They mostly have sets hooked for you and you never have to break them. If you have haz and CDL, they'll put you on the truck regardless. Go for it

One of the reasons I didn’t take the USPS job. It was super local no out of city driving.

Hi guys. It’s been slow even in the northeast lately compared to usual. The southeast is completely stagnant. 18-20 hour layovers or more have been the regular in Georgia into the Carolinas. The further north I stay the better off I get. Though every week it seems PA has had a travel ban at some point for trucks. I’m currently sitting at $14.5k for the year. It seems high for what little work I feel like I’ve done. Last week I had the best week of the year so far with 3435 miles and 13 break/hooks in 6 days all in Va Md Pa Ny Nj . I didn’t get out this Monday night on my start day so the best I can hope for is to squeeze 5 full days in by Saturday night. I’m sure we’ve absorbed some of the Nemf freight up this way. As long as I can keep myself in the northeast I stay busy. I hope the rest of the country will catch on and get everyone moving I hope we don’t have more capacity than freight for too long. Just keep in mind, nothing stays the same but change. Safe travels happy trails.
