Tractor ABS light not coming on during self test. Can hear modulators test. Has a code for left front modulator per wabco site but diagnostic computer unable to communicate with ABS to verify. Does not have a replaceable light bulb. Need to get figured out so truck can pass an inspection and get to work.

What program are you using to connect to the truck? And do you know what abs module it has in it?
-
They used every program they had on their computer. Cummins, Detroit, meritor, cant remember what else. Only thing I know is it's a Wabco with 2 steer sensors and two drive sensors. I'll have to pull the panel again to get the exact module.
Also looked at it earlier and the modulator code is gone and a right front sensor code replaced it -
These are the codes I've pulled from the dash
-
None of those programs will connector to a Wabco abs system. They would have to use Wabco or a universal program like JPRO to read the codes.
How did they pull the code for the abs valve? If they used they display then the module is communicating. Unplug the valve and see if the dash code changes.
And having the actual code can help us give ya advice to narrow down the issue.
Was the dash light coming on before with the key cycle? -
They may have used jpro. Sounds familiar. Dash light does not come on at all. The codes are from the dash readout and I found them on wabcos website. Posted them above

The mid 136 sid 2 fmi 1 is for the right steer axle speed sensor reading below normal. Most of the time the air gap between the sensor and the tone wheel is too large just from the sensor moving which happens often. Take a hammer and lightly tap the sensor in. You'll hear the change in tone when the sensor bottoms out. If the truck has a backing plate then a punch may have to be used to reach the sensor.
The mid 136 sid 7 fmi 6 is for the left steer axle abs valve having a short in the circuit. If you know how to use a multimeter unplug it and check your readings. Cycle the key switch with it unplugged and if the fault changes to fmi 5 which is an open circuit fault then odds are your valve has gone. -
If the speed sensor doesn't moved...its either already bottomed out or seized. If you can see it then grab it with pliers and try to rotate it. That'll tell ya if its seized up. If it is then remove it and clean up the hole it goes in.

As for the dash bulb...check the fuse panel if it has an abs indicator fuse. Some trucks have them. Also double check that the cluster doesn't have a replaceable bulb. If it uses LEDs...make sure someone hasn't pulled the led off the circuit board. The light should always come on with the key cycle. 9/10 when the dash indicator doesn't work and the module is still communicating...the lights bee tampered with
-
Cluster does not have a replaceable bulb and the LEDs do not appear to be tampered with. Only ABS fuses I have found are under the hood and all good. I dont think I have the layout for the panel in the glovebox to check those fuses.
Do you know which wires going into the back of the cluster are the tractor and trailer abs so I can test there to rule out the light?
Check engine light also does not come on but have seen it try to so I'm not ready to rule out bad LEDs yet
The wheel sensor code just showed up today and the modulator code went away. Truck hasnt been more then 3 miles in 2 weeks and only move about 1000ft to the shop yesterday. Drove it in the lot today when I saw modulator code was gone to see if it would come back and that's when the sensor code showed
